Major Ramone Gilbert, Sheriff's Services Commander
|
Major Ramone Gilbert commands the Sheriff Services Division of the Hall County Sheriff’s Office. This includes all aspects pertaining to Court Security and Civil Process. Major Gilbert will complete his 20th year with the Hall County Sheriff’s Office in 2007, with 10 of those 20 serving as the Captain of the Court Services Division. After receiving his POST Certification in 1988, Major Gilbert has held rank as Lieutenant in the Detention Center, Work Release, and the Court Services Division Assistant Commander, prior to taking full command of the Division in 1997. He has also worked in the Hall County Patrol Division as a Patrol Deputy, and the Hall County Criminal Investigations Division as an Investigator. Major Gilbert was the youngest Deputy ever to be promoted to Investigator, Lieutenant, and Captain at the Hall County Sheriff’s Office. He is presently the Senior Captain with the Hall County Sheriff’s Office. During his career with the Sheriff’s Office he was an member of the SWAT team, 1996 Olympic Patrol Team for the Hall County Sheriff’s Office, Honor Guard Member, served as a Charter Member of the Hall County Sheriff’s Office A.D.V.A.N.C.E campaign initially known as C.O.P.S (Community Oriented Police Service), and served as a Charter Member of the Steering Committee of Hall County Drug Court. Captain Gilbert has been instrumental in the implantation of several programs at the Hall County Sheriff’s Office among those are implementing the current House Arrest and Work Release Programs for Hall County Sheriff’s Office, initialization the Hall County Sheriff’s Office Christmas Bicycle Program, and the composed and the Director of the hugely successful Hall County Sheriff’s Citizen’s Academy. Some of his other associations include serving on the Board of Civil Process Association 2000-2005. Captain Gilbert is also a 1994 Graduate of the FBI National Academy. Captain Gilbert has served under (3) three Sheriff’s, (9) nine Captains, (3) three Majors, and (1) one Colonel, this speaks for his commitment to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office. Captain Gilbert has been the recipient of many awards to name a few, the 2004 recipient of Appreciation of Outstanding Contributions and Dedications Services from the Georgia Civil Process Association, 2005 recipient of Appreciation for Years of Service from the Court Services Division Deputies and Staff, 2005 recipient of Service from the Fall 2005 Citizens Academy Graduates, 2006 recipient of Honor from the Fall 2006 Citizens Academy Graduates, most recently the 2007 recipient of Gratitude from the Spring 2007 Citizens Academy Graduates and 2008 Excellence at Work from the Hall County Government.
