This weekend will be very busy with a number of Halloween festivities. The Hall County Sheriff's Office encourages everyone to make SAFETY a priority.
The Sheriff's Office has these reminders, all children should be accompanied by an adult, carry a flashlight, and wear reflective costumes.
Those who choose to trick-or-treat by car need to turn on the car's headlights and be on the look out for pedestrians, as they will be everywhere.
Just as important is driving with extreme caution. Children are excited about Halloween, and many don't pay attention to the things going on around them.
They can dart out into the streets quickly without looking. Drivers need to drive slower than normal and watch more closely while passing each house.
Pedestrians should stop at the end of each driveway before proceeding out into the road and remember to look in each direction for oncoming traffic.
Most importantly, children should not be allowed to eat any candy until an adult has inspected it.
Whether families observe Halloween Saturday or Sunday, the Sheriff's Office will be on patrol in many neighborhoods, both days, to help make Halloween safe for all.
