On Friday May 7th at approximately 1:00 p.m., the Hall County Sheriff’s Office
responded to 424 Atlanta Hwy apartment # 5 in reference to a disturbance.
Upon arrival deputies located an unidentified Hispanic male inside the apartment with stab wounds. The male was treated on the scene by Hall County Fire & Medical personnel and transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
Sheriff’s Investigators along with Uniform Patrol Officers obtained a description of the suspect and saturated the area. Approximately 45 minutes after obtaining this information, deputies located the suspect, Alejandro DeLaRosa, 23 of Gainesville at a residence on Cronic Drive. At the time of arrest DeLaRosa was located with evidence relevant to the original disturbance.
The victim has since been identified but investigators are searching for relatives pending the release of his name.
The incident is still under investigation by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.
