A Gainesville woman has been arrested after a local cab driver reported being robbed.

Shelia C Roberson, age 38, of Gainesville, was arrested shortly after Edwardo Almarez-Trejo, a local cab driver, reported being robbed on Bennett Drive in Gainesville,

The cab driver advised Sheriff’s Deputies that the offender had grabbed an undetermined amount of cash from him and ran toward a residence on Bennett Dr.

Sheriff’s Deputies along with a K-9 from the Gainesville Police Department located the offender hiding near a mobile home.

The perpetrator was arrested and is currently housed in the Hall County Detention Center charged with 1 count of Robbery.

The incident remains under investigation by the Hall County Sheriff's Office, Criminal Investigations Division.
