Investigators Arrest Man on Internet Fraud

 

 

Hall County Sheriffs Investigators arrest a Buford man on charges relating to Internet fraud.

The Hall County Sheriff's Office opened the investigation after receiving a referral from the FBI’s, Internet Fraud Complaint Center. The investigation revealed that Mr. Klimek advertised items for sale on the popular E-Bay web site. The buyer would send their money but the product would not be sent to them. A total of 28 victims have been identified.

Arrested was 19 year old, Gregory Klimek, of Buford. He was charged with 20 counts of Theft By Deception (M), 1 count of Theft By Deception (F), and 1 count of Racketeering.

Mr. Klimek was booked into the Hall County Detention Center and later released on a $30,000 bond.

The case is still under investigation by the Hall County Sheriff's Office, Criminal Investigations Division.
