The Hall County Sheriff's Office is investigating a deadly domestic incident that occurred early Sunday morning.
Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 5300 block of Green Cove Road at approximately 5:00 A.M. to a report of domestic disturbance involving gunfire.
Upon arrival deputies discovered that 3 people had been shot during the incident.
Deputies discovered a Hispanic female, 35 year old Christina Santana with a serious gunshot wound to her neck. She was air lifted to Grady by helicopter. Her 14-year-old daughter had also been shot in the arm. She was transported to NEGMC by ambulance where she was treated and release to family.
The father, Raul O. Santana, age 37, was located inside the residence where he had
received a fatal self-inflicted gunshot wound during the incident.
Investigators believe the mother and father were involved in argument when Christina and the teenager were shot. The father then turned the gun on himself.
Three other children were at home at the time of the incident. They were not injured and are in the custody of family members at this time.
The incident is still under investigation by the Hall County Sheriff's Office, Criminal Investigation Unit.
