Hispanic Male Arrested With Brass Knuckles At Johnson High

 

 

The School Resource Officer at Johnson High arrested a Hispanic male in the parking lot of Johnson High on Wednesday afternoon at approximately 3:30 P.M.

 

The School Resource Officer patrolling the campus spotted a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of the school. A closer inspection of the vehicle revealed a former student, 19 year old, Jose Macias, of Gainesville.

 

The School Resource Officer found Macias to be in possession of a pair of brass knuckles. Macias was arrested and charged with Possession of a concealed weapon inside a school safety zone.

 

The suspect was supposedly on campus to pick up another student.

If convicted, Macias could face a minimum of 2 years and up to 10 years

in prison, and up to a $10,000 fine.

 

He is currently being held in the Hall County Detention Center.

 

The incident remains under investigation by the Hall County Sheriff's Office.
