Sheriff’s Office Dive Team Recovers Drowning Victim

 

 

The Hall County Sheriff's Office along with the Hall County Fire & EMS Dive Teams responded to a report of a drowning in Lake Lanier near the McEver Road Bridge.

 

Several teens had been swimming when one of them went under. Divers from the Hall County Sheriff's Office responded and immediately entered the water in an attempt to rescue the victim. Minutes later the divers recovered a 17 year old black male in approximately 21 feet of water.

 

Paramedics began immediate resuscitation efforts and transported the victim to the Northeast Georgia Medical Center where he later died.

 

The victim is identified as 17 year old, Amnon Craine of Suwannee, Georgia.

 

The incident remains under investigation by the Hall County Sheriff's Office.
