Sheriff’s Deputies to Extra Patrol Friendship Road

Sheriff’s representatives attending Tuesday’s town hall meeting at Friendship Baptist Church on Friendship Road listened to citizens concerns carefully as they discussed the traffic problems on Friendship Road. The Sheriff’s Office realizes the problem and plans to work diligently to improve the situation.

The Hall County Sheriff's Office plans to increase traffic enforcement in the area starting today and continuing through the Holiday weekend. We plan concentrated, directed patrols in addition to vehicle checkpoints. Radar will also be utilized on allowable sections of Friendship Rd.

The Sheriff’s Office addressed this area several weeks ago, conducting a number of concentrated patrols and road checks. A number of traffic arrest were made along with several arrest for drugs.

The Sheriff’s office will continue to target the Friendship Rd area until this problem is solved. We recognize that the problem did not suddenly appear and is a result of the rapid growth of South Hall. We applaud the DOT’s plans and will continue to work with them as they implement improvements.

Anyone with concerns about specific traffic problems is urged to call the Sheriff’s Office Traffic Enforcement Unit at 770-531-6881.

Officers of the Hall County Sheriff's Office are deeply committed with protecting the lives of the citizens of Hall County and keeping our roadways safe.
