Sheriff’s Investigators Arrest Carjacking Suspect

 

 

The Hall County Sheriff's Office has arrested 3 individuals suspected in the Wednesday morning car-jacking incident on Miller Lake Road near Georgia Hwy 52 in the eastern portion of Hall County.

 

The victim, Steven McDonald, age 21, of Oakwood, reported he had driven an acquaintance to the 5000 block of Miller Lake Road. There, his vehicle was taken at knifepoint.

 

 Investigators with the Hall County Sheriff's Office have arrested 3 people in connection with the incident.

 

Arrested and charged were:

 

1. Steven Edward Ford, age 23, of Gainesville.

False Imprisonment

Hijacking a Motor Vehicle

 

 

2. Janice Marie Sosebee, age 24, Oakwood.           

Robbery

Theft By Taking of a Motor Vehicle

3. Dawn Marie Self, age 29, of Lula.

Hindering an Investigation

   

 

All three are currently being held in the Hall County Detention Center pending a hearing in Magistrate court.

 

Investigators also recovered the victims vehicle along with 2 other stolen vehicles during their investigation.

 

The incident is still under investigation by the Hall County Sheriff's Office, Criminal Investigations Division.
