The goal of the Traffic Enforcement Unit is to make the roads and highways of our community safe for the citizens of Hall County. To provide high visibility patrols and to enforce Georgia's  traffic laws. To reduce the number of crashes and reduce the severity of injuries received from crashes by gaining a voluntary compliance with the traffic laws of the State of Georgia.

The Traffic Enforcement Unit is currently operating under a Speed & Aggressive Driving grant funded by the Georgia Governor's Office of Highway Safety. The grant, which was renewed in October 2005 for a 5th year, provided three additional officers to the existing unit along with all equipment necessary to perform their duties.
